The Summer Anthem

Let’s sit outside on my front lawn
It’s not too late, it’s only dawn
Sun will shine high, up in the sky
It’s a new day, so we say

It’s time to start it off in the best way

This is the kickoff to,
A summer that is really cool
This is the kickoff to no school
I want to celebrate,
Our minds at an open state
I want to celebrate,
Our lives

One thing I know on a summer day,
Is you can’t let it go away
The days fly by, as I unwind
And in my head, I know I have said

Why put off till tomorrow,
What you can do today?

I feel a breeze blowing in my face,
As I try to beat you in this long race
The grass is green and the sky is blue
